My questions about Charles Dickens:
1. How did his experiences impact his creation of the character and characteristics of Oliver Twist?
  • Any particular experiences? Life experiences? Which ones?

2. What inspired him to create so many different stories?
3. Were his religious views changing through his series of novels? If so, how?
  • How did you arrive at religion as a possible focus point? Did some of your research point to this? Perhaps the question should be, "How did Dickens and his views of life change over the course of his career in writing novels?" or something like this...

Shuhui, You have a good topic -- Dickens, like Conan Doyle, is a fascinating British author. Continue to flesh out your questions -- perhaps one larger question with supporting question -- to motivate your research. Part of your focus seems to be on the author himself -- his life and the influences that served as a catalyst for his becoming a writer. You have a good start on sources! I look forward to learning more from you! Let me know if I can be of any help! Best, Dr. Young
